Why My Newspaper Subscription Didn’t Work for Me February 9, 2026 by Editor Staff

Dainik-bhaskar

Dainik Bhaskar is a very large newspaper and the most widely read in Indore. Most people subscribe to it online, and many also subscribe offline, but what if you’re not happy with their service?

While this newspaper has been known for its excellent journalism in Indore for many years, providing accurate news on time, the advent of artificial intelligence has led many people to stop reading dainik bhaskar epaper online, and the power of mobile devices has caused people to distance themselves from offline newspapers.

Today, February 9, 2026, a Monday, a person came to my house for a survey from Dainik Bhaskar. He asked me to subscribe to the Dainik Bhaskar newspaper, but I flatly refused because I had been reading Dainik Bhaskar for several months, but I stopped when it became inconvenient for me.

Now I get world and national news through my mobile phone and computer, but that’s not the main reason.

The reason for this is that I was not receiving the newspaper on time from Dainik Bhaskar, and I had also requested the additional magazines, but I was not receiving them either. Considering these issues, I choose to cancel my Dainik Bhaskar subscription. Now, anytime someone asks me to read Dainik Bhaskar, I decline because reading online is definitely better for me and I can read it whenever I want.

Local newspaper in indore

To read local news in Indore, there are several excellent offline newspaper options such as AgniBaan News Today and Khulasa, where you can easily read all the latest updates and news happening in Indore. You can also easily read their e-papers. The only difference is that if you’re subscribing to a offline newspaper and finding it inconvenient, then reading online news might be a better option for you.

Let’s understand how Dainik Bhaskar conducts these surveys, and how they first influence you and then persuade you to book a newspaper subscription.

Most people go door-to-door promoting newspapers like Dainik Bhaskar, through which you provide them with your personal details such as your name, mobile number, and address. During this process, they will ask you for a certain amount for a subscription to get you to subscribe. However, it’s up to you whether you need the newspaper or not. If you need the newspaper, you can certainly subscribe, but make sure to get their complaint number and their manager’s number so that you can easily contact them to complain about any issues you might face.

Things to keep in mind before dainik bhaskar newspaper subscription

Keep the following points in mind when subscribing to a newspaper:

  • Do not allow any stranger into your home unless they show you their ID card,
do not reveal your personal details until they do so.
  • If someone conducting a survey asks for your mobile number and you receive an OTP on it, do not share the OTP with them.
  • Do not share your personal information with anyone.
  • When subscribing to a newspaper, you should definitely inquire about the charges, as Dainik Bhaskar charges ₹160 per month and the magazines included with it, such as Bal Bhaskar and Young Bhaskar cost ₹10 per magazine.
  • Avoid making offline payments without thinking, always make payments online.

Now, I wouldn’t say that this applies to everyone or that everyone will have better convenience, but I did experience a few inconveniences, such as not receiving the newspaper on time.

Reasons for Canceling the Newspaper Subscription

Sometimes I would get the newspaper at 10:00 a.m., and it took me 4 to 5 days after subscribing to begin receiving it. Despite this, the paper often failed to arrive. That is why I canceled my subscription and opted not to renew it. I had also requested magazines in addition to my newspaper subscription and was happy to pay the additional fees, but I never received them.
